

1872 Antique Charles Dickens Book Set, S/11
An antique 11-volume collection from The Works of Charles Dickens, The Globe Edition, published by Hurd and Houghton of New York in 1872.
The books are bound in green cloth with a gold embossed globe embellishment on the spine with gold lettering, and a blind-stamped globe on the cover. Each volume has a black-and-white etching frontispiece illustrated from designs by Darley and Gilbert.
These are perfect for reading and for home decor staging of bookshelves!
Very good condition with a bit of age-related wear to covers and spines to 150-year-old books!
The set measures 21.75" across, 7" tall, and 4.5" front to back.
