

The Great Events by Famous Historians, Antique Book Set, S/6
An antique 6-volume collection from The Great Events by Famous Historians series published in 1926 by The National Alumni, edited by Rossiter Johnson and Charles F. Horne. These are perfect for reading and for home decor staging of bookshelves!
Each volume is bound with a different beautiful cover inspired by the great libraries and museums of Europe and is elaborately gold stamped on the front, blind-stamped on the back, with flat gold bands, including the title, volume and dates gold stamped on the spines. Deckle edge pages and gold top edge. Some pages are still uncut. Each volume has annotated, tissue-protected engraved frontispiece.
The set measures 9.75" across, 9.5" tall, and 6.5" front to back.
Good condition with a small amount of age-related cover wear and more significant wear to the top of the spines as can be seen in the pictures.
